Braking Zones
The average peak brake pressure across all detected braking events in the lap. A braking event starts when brake input crosses 5% and ends when it drops back below 5%.

Coasting (Dead Pedal)
The percentage of total lap time spent with both throttle <5% and brake <5% — neither pedal applied. This dead-pedal time represents moments where the car decelerates under engine drag alone, producing no useful deceleration and no useful acceleration. A long or habitual coast is time given straight to the lap timer — though a short, deliberate pause to let the car finish rotating before you commit to full throttle can be faster than an early, tentative throttle you then have to breathe.

Throttle Application
For each corner apex (detected as a local speed minimum where lateral G > 0.3), the algorithm scans forward up to 80 m to find the first moment throttle reaches 20%. The distance from the apex to that point is the gap — how far past the apex you waited before committing to power. What ultimately counts is when you reach full throttle, not just this first pickup: an early but tentative throttle you then have to breathe can be slower than a slightly later, clean commit.

Min Corner Speed
The minimum speed at each corner, taken at the map's labelled corners and compared to the fastest lap at the matching corner. The coaching also notes WHERE the minimum falls within the corner — an earlier minimum means you're done slowing sooner, so you can unwind the wheel and get to throttle earlier; a minimum that comes late into the corner costs exit even at the same speed.

TCS Interventions
The number of TCS activation events — each event is a false-to-true transition of the TCS flag, meaning a new intervention started. Also counts under-threshold slip frames: moments where rear wheel slip > 12% and throttle > 20% but TCS is not yet active — wheelspin occurring before the system reacts.

Traction Circle Utilization
How consistently you are using the available grip envelope. For every telemetry point, the combined G-force magnitude is computed: √(lat_g² + long_g²). The metric is the ratio of average magnitude to the 95th-percentile magnitude, as a percentage. 100% would mean you are always at your own peak limit. The coaching also reports how much of your loaded time is spent in combined loading — braking while cornering (trail-braking) or accelerating while cornering (power-down) — the diagonal corners of the traction circle that a driver who separates the phases leaves unused.

Brake Release Profile
Within each braking zone, the algorithm finds the point of peak brake pressure, then measures how quickly pressure drops from that peak to zero at the end of the zone. The release rate is (peak pressure − exit pressure) / distance from peak to zone end, in %/m.

Brake Pressure Shape
Within each braking zone, the algorithm measures how much of the total braking (the pressure integrated over distance) happens in the first third of the zone. The fast technique front-loads the zone — roughly two-thirds of the braking done early, hitting peak pressure in the first few metres, then modulating off. The street habit is the opposite: a gradual build-up, softest first and hardest near the end, which lengthens the stop and leaves less room to trail-brake.

Throttle Ramp Rate
How quickly you build throttle after first applying power on corner exit. For each apex, the algorithm finds the throttle-on point (first sample ≥ 20% within 80 m), then measures how many metres it takes to reach 50% and 90% throttle from that point.

Gear & RPM
Three things simultaneously: rev limiter hits (rising-edge count of the rev limiter flag), missed downshifts (corners you reached without ever taking GT7's suggested downshift), and average RPM across the lap.

Steering Smoothness
How economical your steering is. For each labelled corner the algorithm derives the car's heading from its path and compares the total heading change traced through the corner against the net direction change — the "excess steering ratio". 1.0 means one clean, single arc; higher means extra back-and-forth (sawing at the wheel, corrections, chasing the line). The fastest drivers turn the wheel as little as possible: every unnecessary degree of steering acts like a brake on the front tyres.

Driving Line
How far your line runs from the fastest lap's line the whole way round — the signed sideways distance (metres) between the two racing lines, measured at matching points along the lap.

Throttle Commitment
For each corner exit, from the throttle pickup point (first ≥20% after the apex) the algorithm scans forward and flags a "breathe": the throttle dropping ≥8 points from a local peak of ≥30% before it ever reaches 95%. A breathe is the squeeze-breathe-squeeze pattern — power applied before the car had finished rotating, then lifted. What matters is reaching full throttle cleanly, not when you first pick up: an early, tentative throttle you then have to breathe is slower than a slightly later, clean commit.
